Quality Control / Level II NDE (VT, PT)

EGS is seeking qualified applicants for a Quality Control / Level II NDE (VT, PT) position supporting our client in the Akron, OH area. This role offers top competitive salaries, performance bonuses, and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Perform NDE inspections on ASME Section III and Section VIII vessels and nuclear power plant components.

Conduct specific inspections and evaluations for acceptance or rejection in accordance with written procedures.

Execute receipt and in-process inspections on materials used in fabrication.

Utilize inspection tools and equipment proficiently, ensuring all are properly calibrated and approved for use.

Support production teams in setup and inspection activities as needed.

Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, ISO, and other applicable standards.

Minimum Technical Requirements

Must pass visual acuity testing per Jaeger I chart (minimum distance of 12 inches) and Ishihara color test.

Physically capable of:

Wearing fall protection and SCBA equipment.

Entering confined spaces (manways, vessels, towers, heaters).

Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs.

Able to work in hot, cold, dirty, wet, greasy, and noisy environments as required.

Comfortable working independently or with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Desirable Qualifications

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of inspection-related experience; or

2 years of technical or engineering college and 2+ years of inspection experience; or

Engineering or science degree and 1+ year of inspection experience.

Certifications:

Certified to ASNT-TC-1A Level II in Visual Testing (VT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).

Experience applying ASME, AWS, and ISO standards in an industrial or nuclear setting.

Documented evidence of classroom and on-the-job training for Level II certification.
