Job Title: Fuel Handling Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bellevue, WA
Type: 12-month Contract
Contractor Work Model: Remote
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Fuel Handling Mechanical Design Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with a remote model. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing advanced mechanical fuel handling and process systems for cutting-edge nuclear reactor projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 5-15 years of direct experience in mechanical systems design, with a strong background in complex systems, particularly in nuclear fuel handling environments.
- Proficiency in ASME BPVC, Section III, Division 1 and/or Section VIII, remote tooling design, high temperature, and multi-discipline integration.
- Exceptional technical writing, communication, and presentation skills, with a focus on attention to detail and technical excellence.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead design efforts with minimal direction, managing multiple competing objectives effectively.
- Quality Standards: Familiarity with quality standards applicable to design activities, such as ASME NQA-1.
