Savannah River Nuclear Solutions is looking for (1) Senior Engineer- A- 2D and 3D - S3D Electrical Designer
Will close to submissions on 10/20 5:00PM EST.
Education & Experience: An associates degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 - 12 years work experience or 12 - 16 years of practical work experience.
Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- Requires an in-depth knowledge of engineering systems, applications, calculations, materials, construction methods, and relevant computer applications.
- Applies advanced principles and practices in engineering to resolve problems identified by construction organizations in a timely manner.
- Continued updating on new technologies and hardware in the industry is necessary.
- Candidate must demonstrate 10 years' work experience as an Electrical Designer, including experience with Equipment Layout, Grounding, Raceway Layout, Lighting Systems, and Schematics, Connection and Wiring Diagrams.
- Significant experience using 2D-Microstation and Hexagon’s S3D software, is required.
-Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of National Census Codes and Standards for electrical design such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.
- Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and
work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, and dressing out in protective clothing.
- Candidate must have the ability to produce quality documents with attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
- Previous SRS Design Engineering or DOE facility experience is preferred.

• Availability & Qualifications Personnel: 10%
Duration of the Contract: 1 year, 2 option periods
• Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager.
• Yearly options will automatically include a 3.5% escalation.

2080 ST 800 OT
Anticipated Work Schedule:
6:45a-5:15p
