System One is currently seeking a Senior Controls Engineer on a 3 year contract position located in Waynesboro, GA.

Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
Serve as the Responsible Design Engineer and responsible Lead Engineer for assigned design changes. This includes providing technical oversight of design products, be the primary design engineer interface between all other engineering disciplines, vendors, and stakeholders.
Perform and assist on-site walk downs, supporting SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), support preparation of cost estimates and scoping.

Controls Engineer Requirements:
Solid electrical knowledge
Experience with control narrative
Experience reading electrical/controls
Experience with checking cables and wiring in the field
Experience with cost estimating drawings
Experience developing IO lists.
This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, decision making skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff and/or vendors.
10+ Years Experience in design
An accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering.
