Savannah River Nuclear Solutions is looking for (1) Senior Fellow Engineer - Structural Mechanics SME

Education & Experience: An advance degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience - A Ph.D. degree and about 12+ years' experience, OR a MS degree and 15+ years' experience, OR a BS degree and about 18+ years' experience, OR current registration as a Professional Engineer in one of these disciplines.(Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.)

Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- Has mastered technical field, is recognized as internal expert, has depth of knowledge to tackle any problem in field.
- Contributes to advancing knowledge.
- Significant experience in pressure equipment (piping and pipeline systems, vessels, and tanks), design, analysis, qualification, inspection, fitness-for-service and integrity management, failure analysis and repairs of systems and components in the nuclear power and the process industries, and in the DOE complex.
-Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of the job site for the engineering work being performed. These walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in progress, walking for distances over a half mile, climbing ladders to access remote areas, and dressing out in protective clothing.

Nice to Have:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
- Previous SRS Design Engineering experience is preferred.

• Technical Acceptability: 70%
• Availability & Qualifications Personnel: 10%

Duration of the Contract: (1) year with the option to extend for (2) additional (1) year option years.
• Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager.
• Yearly options will automatically include a 3.5% escalation.

2080 ST/800 OT

6:45a-5:15p Mon-Thurs
