Position: Maintenance Planner 1 0-3 years related experience.
Assignment Length: 1 year with extinctions expected 3-5 years
Pay rate: $34.00-$48.00 depending on experience level
Per diem: If outside of 50 miles $840 per week
Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Maintenance Planner with 0-3 years of experience to support maintenance planning activities in a nuclear power plant environment. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a technical background who are eager to learn outage planning, electrical maintenance coordination, and schedule development in a highly regulated and safety-critical setting. The planner will assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating work activities, and ensuring maintenance tasks align with equipment availability, manpower, and unit priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Outage & Maintenance Scheduling
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules to support planned outages and routine electrical maintenance activities.
Help coordinate work activities based on equipment conditions, staffing, and priority levels within the plant.
Work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering groups to support accurate schedule integration.
Work Package Support
Assist in planning corrective, preventive, and predictive electrical maintenance tasks.
Learn to determine required labor, materials, tools, permits, and safety considerations for electrical jobs.
Participate in field walkdowns with experienced planners or supervisors to gain knowledge of equipment and system layout.
Documentation & Computer Use
Prepare and update planning documents, work instructions, and schedule reports.
Use Windows-based systems and software�Microsoft Word, Excel, and other planning tools�to support maintenance planning activities.
Maintain documentation in accordance with nuclear plant procedures and regulatory requirements.
Communication & Coordination
Communicate schedule updates and changes clearly with internal stakeholders.
Participate in planning meetings, outage briefings, and daily coordination sessions as needed.
Build foundational knowledge of nuclear work processes, safety culture, and job planning methods.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
0�3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, industrial maintenance, planning, scheduling, or related technical support role.
Basic understanding of electrical systems or industrial equipment (preferred but not required).
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to learn and interpret technical documents such as equipment manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
Strong communication and time-management skills.
