Position: Senior Maintenance Planner 12+ years related experience including 6 years Nuclear Plant planning experience.
Assignment Length: 1 year with extinctions expected 3-5 years
Pay rate: $70.00-$90.00 depending on experience level
Per diem: If outside of 50 miles $840 per week
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Planner to support maintenance activities within a nuclear power plant environment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules to support planned outages and day-to-day electrical maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to coordinate multiple priorities, and experienced in scheduling work based on equipment availability, manpower, and system or unit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Outage & Maintenance Scheduling
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules to support planned outages, equipment maintenance, and system modifications.
Schedule electrical work activities based on equipment status, manpower availability, and unit/system priorities.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure accurate schedule integration and resource alignment.
Work Planning & Coordination
Support the planning of electrical maintenance tasks, including corrective, preventive, and predictive activities.
Ensure job plans consider required labor, parts, tools, equipment, and safety requirements.
Monitor schedule progress, identify delays or constraints, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Documentation & System Use
Prepare and manage work planning documentation, job instructions, and schedule reports.
Utilize computerized systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based planning tools, to manage schedules and work activities.
Ensure schedules comply with plant procedures, regulatory requirements, and established outage milestones.
Stakeholder Communication
Communicate schedule updates, changes, and constraints clearly with internal stakeholders.
Participate in planning meetings, outage coordination discussions, and daily crew briefings as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Technical or Associates Degree.
Experience in electrical maintenance planning, industrial maintenance, or scheduling preferred (nuclear experience strongly valued).
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based applications.
Ability to interpret technical documentation such as equipment manuals, drawings, and work packages.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
