Senior Project Manager - (Nuclear) Chattanooga, TN (TVA1JP00002732)
Support Nuclear Projects
Work Location: Chattanooga Corporate Offices, TN
Estimated Start: December/January
Estimated Duration: One Year
TVA Per Diem: $1,500 / month
Position Description:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects according to specifications and within budget, from initiation through completion.
The Senior Project Manager leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risk to ensure projects are completed within defined restraints (e.g., time, budget, people, quality, materials) and to a high level of quality.
This role is generally assigned to large, multifaceted projects. The Senior Project Manager serves as the single point of contact regarding the assigned project and assumes the leadership role in safely managing the project.
Budget Responsibility:
Capability to manage large project budgets over $25 million, or
Manage a portfolio of projects with an aggregate total over $75 million for all active projects assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a Technical Field, or equivalent education, training, and/or related work experience.
Masters Degree preferred but not required.
Demonstrated experience managing large, multifaceted nuclear projects.
Certifications / Licenses:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) required within one year of appointment or assuming the Senior PM position.
(Demonstrated desire to excel in the professional field of study as shown by certification/licensure in a professional discipline preferred but not required (e.g.,PE, CPA, CFP).

Assigned to nuclear-only projects within TVAs Capital Projects or Project Engineering organization.

Must be capable of leading diverse teams while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and performance.
