Senior Radiochemist
Everett, WA | Full-time | On-site (4 days/week)
$56–$95/hr.
System One seeks a Senior Radiochemist to support advanced nuclear reactor R&D. You’ll lead experimental radiochemistry projects, including actinide salt synthesis, molten salt property measurements, and radiochemical analysis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance reactor chemistry understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and assist experiments; act as PI on multiple efforts
Develop process monitoring for molten salts and gas streams
Design flexible experimental chemistry capabilities
Prepare reports, manuscripts, and IP documentation
Maintain lab procedures and ensure safety compliance
Mentor and train team members
Qualifications:
PhD in radiochemistry or chemistry
Hands-on experience with actinide/radiological materials
Expertise in characterization techniques (Raman, UV-Vis, ICP-OES/MS, XRD, spectroscopy, etc.)
Familiarity with gloveboxes, Schlenk lines, controlled-atmosphere equipment
Strong technical writing and leadership skills
