The Merrick Group is seeking an experienced Nuclear Supervisor with a strong background in heat exchanger maintenance to support our expanding workload across all Duke Energy facilities. This position is ideal for a proven leader with deep knowledge of nuclear plant systems, heat exchanger cleaning/maintenance processes, and day-to-day field supervision.



Experience Required: Minimum 10 years supervising in the nuclear industry, preferably in heat exchanger or component maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

*Support Project Managers with daily operational and technical activities.

*Break up crews and assign qualified personnel to heat exchanger cleaning and maintenance tasks.

*Conduct detailed pre-job briefs with a strong emphasis on safety, ALARA, and procedural compliance.

*Supervise day-to-day field work, ensuring high-quality execution of heat exchanger maintenance, cleaning, or inspection tasks.

*Review work orders, procedures, and job plans to verify accuracy and readiness.

*Perform administrative duties including documentation, crew timekeeping, equipment tracking, and status updates.

*Coordinate with plant personnel to maintain schedule, resolve issues, and ensure smooth workflow.


Preferred Qualifications:

*Duke Energy–specific qualifications or site access credentials

*Experience using the Duke Energy computer systems for work management, training, scheduling, and documentation.

*Familiarity with heat exchanger cleaning technologies and nuclear maintenance best practices.

*Strong communication and organizational skills.
