[Design Engineer] I&C Design Engineer

Airswift is seeking an experienced I&C Design Engineer with a strong background in digital control and data
acquisition systems, distributed I&C platforms, Operator Aid Computer, plant network systems, and security computer
systems. Must understand industry cyber security design requirements, computer networks, and operating systems.
Requires knowledge of real-time/data acquisition/control systems, including hardware, software, and interfaces. Ability to
read Plant Drawings (Control Wiring Diagrams, One-line diagrams, Logic Diagrams) and work independently or as part of a
team.

Responsibilities

• Review and produce engineering deliverables such as Engineering Change Basedocs, Equipment Database records, Electrical Elementary Diagrams, Connection Diagrams, Wiretabs, Bill of Materials, and Cable Cards.
• Prepare and check design packages, specifications, calculations, and technical evaluations.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including procedure reviews and test observations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders for technical evaluations and design reviews.
• Analyze engineering risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide updates to project managers and leadership.
• Support construction and implementation phases by resolving field changes and addressing technical issues.

Requirements

• Strong background in Electrical, Computer, or I&C Engineering.
• Design Qualification (must be clearly reflected on CV).
• Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear access (background screening, fingerprinting, training/testing).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with digital control systems, DCS, PLCs, and advanced control system monitoring.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the Standard Design Process.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A valid U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license may substitute for degree.
