Nuclear Island Resident Engineer
Location: Onsite – Loveland, CO
Pay: $50–$80/hour
Type: Contract (System One)

System One is seeking an experienced Nuclear Island Resident Engineer to provide on-site technical oversight at James Fisher Technologies in support of the Natrium Reactor Project. This role supports the Sodium Cover Gas and Fuel Handling systems, serving as the primary engineering liaison between project teams and suppliers.

You will oversee supplier design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of nuclear equipment; ensure compliance with applicable codes and quality standards; and manage technical, schedule, and commercial performance. This position requires hands-on manufacturing oversight experience, strong supplier management skills, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and project teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

5+ years of mechanical/system design experience

Manufacturing and fabrication oversight experience

Knowledge of nuclear quality standards (ASME NQA-1)

Supplier, SOW, and contract management experience

Preferred:

PMP or project management training

ASME BPVC Section III or VIII experience
