Opportunity Overview:AOV Analyst100% TravelContract, short-term, 4 to 6 weeks, ranging 40-72 hours per weekWe may offer contractors more than one short-term assignment. Your Day-to-Day:
- Report to the On-Site Manager.
- Apply technical expertise in AOV analysis and maintenance.
- Perform analysis of AOV testing during functional post-maintenance, diagnostic testing, corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of different AOV types and sizes.
- Provide field support for all AOV maintenance activities.
- Analyze diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Ensure mechanical safety clearance requirements are met following procedures.
- Complete work tasks as outlined in work orders and document all steps performed.
- Review documentation to confirm work order entries are correct and complete.
- Conduct diagnostic testing by customer specifications.
- Prioritize personal and co-worker safety, and protection of plant equipment.
- Recognize and recommend needed repairs to maintain first-time quality.
- Perform all tasks within customer/contractor procedural parameters.
- Complete required site and contractor training.
- Document all repair, testing, and assembly activities thoroughly.
- Use human performance tools (e.g., 2-minute rule, ALARA).
- Help with other job tasks within your capabilities as directed by management.
- Willingness to work overtime, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational, technical training or EPRI qualifications.
- Three (3) years of hands-on experience in diagnostic testing and AOV/actuator valve and General Valve maintenance in the nuclear industry.
- Mechanical and electrical experience; ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- U.S. Navy nuclear background or equivalent training in reactor maintenance or operations.
- Satisfactory performance rating from previous work (based on client and contractor feedback).
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools, electrical instruments, diagnostic tools, and conducting maintenance following OSHA or client requirements for electrical and mechanical safety.
- Complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements, which may include practical and written skills assessments, computer-based training, medical, psychological, background, and substance abuse screenings.
