Fuel Handling System Design Contract Opportunity

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the design of advanced nuclear fuel handling systems? We are seeking an experienced professional for a 12-month contract position as part of cutting-edge innovation within Nuclear Technology and Medical sectors. This remote opportunity, based out of Bellevue, United States, offers competitive hourly rates ranging from $52-$85.

Responsibilities:
- Develop designs for nuclear in-vessel fuel handling systems and equipment from requirements through final execution.
- Manage Systems, Structures & Component level requirements with proper traceability using configuration control tools.
- Ensure effective application of relevant design codes such as ASME BPVC and ANS standards into plant system designs.
- Analyze regulatory criteria while adhering to mechanical/process system design protocols.
- Collaborate on creating comprehensive drawing packages (e.g., P&IDs) alongside the engineering team.
- Oversee supplier projects including technical reviews ensuring timely delivery aligned with project needs.
- Draft/review essential technical documents like Engineering Specifications or Interface Control Documents systematically refining subsystem-level outputs during critical evaluations.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelors Degree STEM discipline preferably Mechanical/Systems Engineer .
Candidates having higher education credentials M.S./doctorates might gain up-to four years exemption experience minimum threshold expectations instead directly demonstrating hands-on practical exposure complex integrated setups structural challenges leveraging modern industrialized production mechanisms reshaping current ecosystem.
