Financial Consultant, Technical Accountant

We are looking for detail oriented candidates with prior Electric Utility Experience for a contract position in Chattanooga, TN. Desired start is Feb 2026- July 2026. This position is Full time. This position is eligible for per diem of $1500 monthly, subject to company qualifications and requirements.

This role will ensure the integrity of the financial statements and a Sarbanes-Oxley control environment. Improve financial and business acumen by seeking education and reviewing business information and technical documents.
Support and influence the development and review of budgets and business planning, monthly forecasts, savings/use activities.
Actively develop and foster relationships with team and business partners.
Analyze financial reports and cost data to influence outcomes for business objectives.
Provides management with financial and operational insight to drive decision making.
Participate in special projects as requested. Needs ability to work independently.

The Ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Prior Electric Utility experience
Strong knowledge in US GAAP and accounting research methodology.
Experience working with ASCs
FERC experience is a plus
Experience preparing technical accounting documentation and position papers
Must have ability to interpret accounting guidance and apply professional judgement
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to pass Background checks and drug screens and all client training required.
This is a technical accounting role, not general skills accounting.
