Looking for detail oriented Mid level Mechanical Design Engineer with prior nuclear experience for a 1 yr contract position in Soddy Daisy, TN.

General Job Duties:
Plans, Schedules, Conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of Mechanical Engineering work in a part of a major project or a total project of Moderate scope. Performs work that involves conventional mechanical engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.

This work requires a broad knowledge of precedence is the specialty area and a good knowledge of practices and related specialty.
As a fully competent Mechanical Engineer in all conventional experience aspects of the subject matter of the area of the assignments, plans and conducts work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Devise new approaches to problems encountered, required sufficient professional experience to ensure competence as a fully trained worker.
Provides procurement, and field engineering including walkdowns, modifications/ maintenance, and testing support.

Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering degrees from an accredited curriculum. Licensed PE is desirable. Membership in Professional and Technical Societies is desirable.

Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access. Must be able to pass all required Medical, Background and FFD utility requirements. Must be able to work on call and rotating 24 hr shifts which may include 7 day week availability.

Desired start is Feb 2026- Feb 2027. This position is Full time. This position is eligible for per diem of $1500 monthly, subject to company qualifications and requirements.
