Looking for detail oriented Mid-level I&C Design Engineer with prior nuclear experience for a 2 yr contract position in Soddy Daisy, TN.

The ideal candidate will have prior nuclear utility experience. Experience with Digital Systems, and Nuclear Life Extension projects.

General Job Duties:
Plans, Schedules, Conducts and Coordinates detailed phases of Instrument and Controls (I&C) engineering work in a part of a major project or a total project of major scope. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

This work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and good knowledge of related practice. As a fully competent I&C Engineer in all aspects of the subject matter plans and conducts work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Require professional experience to ensure competence as a fully trained worker.
Provides procurement, and field engineering including walk-downs, modifications/ maintenance, and testing support.

May coordinate the work of multidiscipline engineers, CAD technicians, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited curriculum, plus continuing education. Licensed PE is desired. Membership in Professional and Technical Societies is desirable.

Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access. Must be able to pass all required Medical, Background and FFD utility requirements. Must be able to work on call and rotating 24 hr shifts, which may include 7 day week availability. Must be able to pass all utility required training and Background and FFD requirements.

Desired start is Feb 2026- Feb 2028. This position is Full time. This position is eligible for per diem of $1500 monthly, subject to company qualifications and requirements.
