Position Title: Clearance Coordinator
Locations & Dates:
Byron Station: February 23 to March 18
Braidwood Station: April 13 to May 4

Position Overview

NPower is seeking an experienced Clearance Coordinator to support outage activities at Byron and Braidwood stations for their Spring 2026 outages. This role is responsible for field verification and coordination of plant clearances, ensuring tagging boundaries are accurate and work can be performed safely and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

o Performing field walkdowns of tag-outs to verify accuracy and completeness
o Supporting clearances in the Turbine Building and Auxiliary Building, including work in/around containment
o Holding and managing assigned clearances
o Conducting worker pre-job briefs related to clearance boundaries and system status
o Ensuring tagging aligns with procedures, safety requirements, and plant work controls
o Coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, and Work Management to resolve field issues
o Maintaining high standards of nuclear safety and procedural compliance

Required Qualifications

o Experience as a Clearance Order Holder at a commercial nuclear facility
o Strong understanding of nuclear clearance/tagging processes and work controls
o Experience performing field walkdowns and verification of tagging boundaries
o Ability to work in turbine, auxiliary, and containment areas
o Strong communication skills and ability to brief craft and plant personnel
o Proven nuclear safety culture and procedural compliance background

Preferred Experience

o Prior experience at Byron or Braidwood
o Outage support experience in clearance or operations support roles
