Maintenance Planner I-III
Pay rate, dependent on level, from $40-$80 an hour
Per diem $840 a week
Position Overview
Maintenance Planners support safe, reliable, and compliant plant operation by designing, developing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work activities. This role requires knowledge of power plant equipment, maintenance practices, and work planning principles within a regulated nuclear environment.
Maintenance Planners prepare high-quality work packages that support corrective and preventive maintenance activities in compliance with NRC, federal, and site-specific regulations and procedures.
Positions are available at the Planner I, Planner II, and Planner III levels, depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, schedule, and coordinate maintenance planning activities
Investigate, define, and document detailed maintenance work scope
Establish project schedule activities and resource requirements
Provide alternative planning recommendations as needed
Reference and apply applicable maintenance procedures, work instructions, and technical documents
Prepare and review corrective and preventive maintenance work control packages
Identify and list required tools, spare parts, materials, and vendor support
Coordinate vendor requirements and special work instructions as applicable
Utilize automated planning systems to develop schedules, spreadsheets, and graphical outputs
Ensure maintenance planning activities comply with NRC, federal, and site requirements
Support plant schedules, outage planning, and maintenance execution activities
Required Qualifications (All Levels)
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Knowledge of power plant equipment maintenance and operations
Understanding of maintenance planning principles and work management processes
Ability to work in a highly regulated, safety-focused environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Experience Requirements by Level
Maintenance Planner I
0-3 years of related maintenance or planning experience
Maintenance Planner II
2-7 years of related experience
Minimum of 2 years of nuclear power plant planning experience
Maintenance Planner III
6-11 years of related experience
Minimum of 4 years of nuclear power plant planning experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with nuclear plant work management and planning systems
Familiarity with corrective and preventive maintenance programs
Experience supporting outage planning and execution
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment
Nuclear power plant setting
Interface with maintenance, operations, engineering, and vendor organizations
Emphasis on safety, compliance, and quality
