Palisades Nuclear Power Plant re-start, maintenance, and repairs
Rate: $60-$70/hr ST
Work Location: Covert, Michigan (Hybrid)
Covert, Michigan - Ideally candidates would be onsite but they are willing to accommodate a hybrid to remote schedule (onsite 2-3 days per week while training and then transition to remote) which may require trips to site, as needed.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3-6 months
Hours: Full time / 40+ hours
PD: $130.00 (7 days)
Mob / Demob: Per Site Policy (attached)

Responsibilities:
• Supports the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and consumption patterns to optimize inventory management, reduce carrying costs, and support finding components.
• Support the coordinate with receiving and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of purchased items and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, including the implementation of best practices, cost-saving initiatives, and sustainable sourcing strategies.

Education/Experience Requirements
• 5 years experience in nuclear procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of sourcing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess supplier capabilities, and make strategic purchasing decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Experience in using procurement systems to manage purchasing processes and track inventory levels.
