Senior Project Scheduler Nuclear

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Nuclear Scheduler to lead and manage project scheduling activities for complex nuclear projects. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining detailed project schedules while supporting cost tracking, risk management, and executive-level reporting.
The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of progressive scheduling experience in nuclear environments, strong leadership skills, and expertise in industry-standard scheduling software.
Key Responsibilities
Project Scheduling & Controls
Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or equivalent)
Ensure alignment between schedule, scope, budget, and resource planning
Optimize project timelines and identify schedule improvement opportunities
Cost & Financial Oversight
Support preparation of comprehensive project cost estimates and budgets
Monitor actual costs against planned budgets
Identify variances and implement corrective actions as needed
Assist with financial forecasting and earned value tracking
Performance Reporting & Analytics
Collect, analyze, and interpret project data
Prepare detailed reports on project performance metrics
Deliver high-level executive presentations on project status, schedule health, and financial performance
Risk Management
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities
Develop and execute mitigation and contingency plans
Integrate risk considerations into scheduling and forecasting activities
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with project management processes, nuclear standards, and industry best practices
Promote adherence to regulatory and internal procedural requirements
Leadership & Collaboration
Foster strong communication and collaboration within project teams
Work closely with project managers, engineers, construction teams, and stakeholders
Mentor and support junior scheduling and project controls staff
Required Qualifications
Nuclear industry experience (mandatory)
Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
10 - 15 years of progressive experience in project scheduling or project controls
Advanced proficiency with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor team members
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting nuclear capital projects, outages, or plant modifications
Experience with earned value management (EVM) and cost controls
Familiarity with nuclear regulatory and compliance environments
