Title: Resident Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Pay Range: $102 - $125 per hour
Work Type: Long-term Contract

System One is seeking a Nuclear Fuel Handling Resident Engineer to provide on-site engineering support for nuclear fuel handling equipment and related operations. This is a hands-on, field-facing role working closely with engineering, operations, and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable execution.

Key Responsibilities:
-Serve as the on-site engineering representative supporting fuel handling systems/equipment and related activities.
-Provide real-time technical support during planning and execution (field troubleshooting, issue resolution, coordination).
-Review and support work packages, procedures, and technical documentation tied to fuel handling activities.
-Interface with engineering, operations, quality, and project teams to drive timely decisions and execution.
-Support compliance with applicable nuclear standards, QA expectations, and site safety requirements.

Required Qualifications:
-15+ years of relevant engineering experience (nuclear preferred).
-Strong background supporting complex mechanical equipment in high-consequence, regulated environments (fuel handling experience strongly desired).
-Proven ability to work effectively on-site with multi-disciplinary teams and resolve issues quickly.
