We are seeking an experienced Project Manager II to support long-term capital programs within a highly regulated nuclear energy environment. This role focuses on solidifying long-term plans, enhancing project estimates, deploying resources to active projects, and supporting nuclear license extensions from 60 to 80 years.

Position Overview
The Project Manager II will manage multiple capital projects (typically $1M+) and support long-term infrastructure and lifecycle planning efforts. Responsibilities include capital asset management, depreciation oversight, contract management, and full project lifecycle execution.
This role primarily supports internal stakeholders and requires close coordination across engineering, maintenance, controls, finance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
What You’ll Do
Lead full lifecycle execution of capital projects from planning through completion
Strengthen long-term capital planning and improve project estimating accuracy
Manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multiple concurrent projects
Source vendors, initiate contracts, and manage contractor performance
Monitor financial performance, forecasting, and variance analysis
Escalate risks and present projects for leadership authorization and funding approval
Coordinate weekly stakeholder meetings and cross-functional project reviews
Conduct plant/field observations to support constructability and issue resolution
Support license extension initiatives and capital asset lifecycle management
Team & Work Environment
Work within a highly collaborative team of approximately 32 professionals
Partner with engineering, maintenance, controls, finance, supply chain, and senior leadership
Primarily office-based with periodic field/plant visits for project oversight
Supportive, team-oriented culture with strong leadership visibility
Work Schedule
Standard business hours (40 hours/week)
During outage periods: up to 60 hours per week, including 12-hour days and weekends
12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
Ramp-up time is approximately one month for candidates with the required experience.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of cradle-to-grave project management experience
Experience managing capital projects valued at $1M or greater
Background in nuclear, utilities, power generation, construction, or heavy industrial environments
Strong financial acumen (cost controls, forecasting, variance management)
Experience managing contractors and cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Nuclear experience (commercial strongly preferred)
Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction background (ABET accreditation preferred)
Ex-Navy nuclear (submarine/navy) experience welcome
Experience with SAP, Unifier, UKG/Workday, MS Project, or Primavera P6
PMP certification strongly preferred
SRO certification or plant operations knowledge is a plus
Experience with companies such as WECTEC or GE is beneficial

Pay $70-$76 hour plus Per Diem if Qualify
