Mechanical Technician (Millwright) Job Description

Position: Mechanical Technician (Millwright)
Employment Type: Contract / Staff Augmentation
Location: Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS), Brownville, Nebraska
Project: Fall Refueling Outage – RE34
Duration: September 26, 2026 – November 1, 2026

Overview:
Seeking skilled Mechanical Technicians (Millwrights) to support outage activities at CNS.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pump maintenance
- Valve replacements/rebuilds
- Heat exchanger maintenance
- HVAC system maintenance
- Work across RCA, Non-RCA, contaminated, and high-radiation areas
- Follow approved maintenance procedures
- Complete daily timesheets; adhere to safety and human performance requirements

Qualifications:
- Certified or journeyman-level millwright
- 3–5 years mechanical maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain unescorted access to protected areas
- Ability to complete required site training

Preferred:
- Nuclear facility experience
- Prior NANTel training
- Experience in radiological areas

Work Environment:
Includes high-radiation zones, protected areas, machine shops, and confined spaces.

Schedule:
Mobilization mid-September; outage work Sept 26–Nov 1, 2026.

Compensation:
Hourly rates, overtime, per diem, travel allowances.
