Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an HLW Technical Oversight Consultant (Part-Time) opportunity in Richland, WA.

Scope of Work: Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project (HLW) Technical Oversight Support

Organization Supporting: WTP Engineering Division

Part-Time Position: estimated 960 hours/year

Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Hanford Field Office and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA

Position Overview:

The Technical Oversight Consultant will support the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) Waste Treatment and Immobilization Project (WTP) High Level Waste Division in the following areas:

· Provide oversight of contractor system design review program.

· Coordinate system design reviews for the WTP HLW systems.

· Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Document (ICD).

· Coordinate to issue assessment and resolution with HFO engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.

· Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste

· (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations.

· Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Education – BS/BA (or AA, MS, MBA, PhD, etc.) degree in [relevant field]. Six years of experience may be substituted for BS/BA degree. Three (3) years of experience may be substituted for AA degree. Nine (9) years of experience may be substituted for MS/MA degree. Twelve (12) years of experience may be substituted for PhD.

· At least 6 years of experience as design review led assessor/audit team lead/member interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant technical and quality issues.

· Experience with HFO’s oversight program requirements to include HFO’s corrective action management process.

· Experience performing oversight of HFO Orders/Standards such as facility operations, engineering, maintenance management of a nuclear facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site Tank Watse mission, activities, and priorities.

· In-depth knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.

· Proficient in DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.

· Experience with WTP project design, quality assurance and oversight

· Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn and utilize, various technology management tools used at Hanford.

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft 365.

· Expert-level proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

· HFO iCAS expert level proficiency
