Procurement Engineer (8+ Years Experience)

We are seeking a motivated Procurement Engineer with nine or more years of experience to join our supply chain team. This role is responsible for providing engineering support in the procurement of technical materials, equipment, and services while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. Nuclear experience is a plus.

Requirements:
• BS degree in Engineering (applicable discipline).
• 9+ years of relevant engineering or procurement experience.
•Ability to apply engineering principles, practices, and standard calculation methods.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and business practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for procurement activities.
• Review vendor documents for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical evaluation and support for the procurement of engineered equipment and materials.
• Evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors
• Managing technical procurement of parts and equipment
• Reviewing vendor proposals and specifications
• Ensuring materials meet engineering and regulatory requirements
