Job Description:
Coordinates the materials procurement process through all project phases. Acts as a specialist, working with multiple project teams to ensure detailed knowledge of the parts, tools, and materials is maintained to support successful implementation of future and in-flight projects. This includes administrative tracking of materials identified during project design and planning, parts verification when shipped to site, staging materials as required by project once received, and ensuring traceability is maintained when issued from warehouse.
Principal Accountabilities:
The Project Materials Coordinator supports projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance as assigned. This includes providing oversight of the material procurement process including new Catalog identifications (CATIDs), Material Requests (MRs), Purchase orders (POs), and coordinating with other departments, to ensure work can be implemented as scheduled.
Develops, maintains, and improves materials tracking processes to clearly show the status of all known procurements of project parts, tools, and materials.
Inventories and inspects specialty vendor materials once shipped to site to ensure proper quantity and quality requirements are as expected. This includes operation of hand and power tools.
Assists Supply Chain Services in the resolution of material shipping challenges/logistics and supports resolution of Overage, Shortage, Damaged & Discrepancy (OSD&D) conditions.
Prepare and deliver written and oral communication of procurement status to various groups including senior management.
Validates Engineering Change bill of material meets project requirements of quality level and status in Asset Suite 9.
Handle material from issuance up to the point of installation to ensure quantity, quality, storage requirements, and traceability are maintained. This includes operation of vehicles such as work trucks.

Skills/Experience:
Required abilities and skills:
Basic project management techniques. Basic core values as related to human performance, cost-effective work execution.
Basic use of computer software tools (MS Office)
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university AND one year of experience in a technical field
OR
Associates degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from accredited college or university AND three years experience in a technical field
OR
High School Diploma/GED AND five years experience in a technical field

Construction Management Certification
