Job Title: Nuclear Engineer V, Mechanical
Location: Nuclear Plants, Ohio
Type: Contract
Compensation: $115.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite, per diem available.

Ideal Background:

* BS degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Minimum of 15 years of experience, including at least 8 years in the commercial nuclear power industry.

* Experience with PWR and/or BWR plant design and operation, including primary and secondary systems.

* Proficiency in performing calculations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, and system modifications to improve safety and reliability.

* Experience reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills for client review boards.

* Proficiency in Mathcad, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Effective time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

* Ability to pass security and drug screening, and maintain unescorted access to commercial nuclear power plants.

* Willingness to travel to client sites and perform on-site field/office work.
Ability to perform walk downs in industrial environments, including climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.
