FSS/RP Technicians (ANSI 18.1)

Technicians are needed to assist in the completion of a time-sensitive scope of the decommissioning project, support shall include routine RP and FSS surveys for the remainder of auxiliary and reactor building decommissioning activities. Must be capable of working at heights and possess ability to enter confined spaces. Must be able to support a 7 x 12 work schedule and day or night shift. No shift differential is currently being offered.

Required: ANSI 18.1 RP Technician
Preferred: ANSI 18.1 (or 3.1) RP Technician with training records/qualification documents + FSS experience and/or qualified FSS Technician.

If technician does not have training records/qualification documents in hand, they will be subject to re-qualification under CR3 RP Program. RP Technicians without FSS experience will also be trained as a qualified FSS Technician.

CR3 is a commercial nuclear decommissioning project, and RP Technician duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Operation of Survey Instruments and Count Rate Meter
• Perform Radiation and Contamination Surveys
• Perform Airborne Radioactivity Surveys
• Radioactive Material Movement and Storage
• Radiological Posting / Deposting
• Respond to Radiological Alarms
• Provide Radiological Job Coverage
• Provide High Risk Job Coverage
• Direct and/or Perform Area and Equipment Decontamination
• Survey Material for Unconditional Release
• Monitor and Coach Workers in the RCA

FSS Technician duties included, but are not limited to the following:
• Performing Final Status Radiological Surveys
• Instrument Operation and Calibration Verification
• Survey Mapping and Area Documentation
• Collecting Environmental and Radiological Samples
• Data Recording and Quality Assurance
• Supporting Survey Unit Release
• Radiological Work Controls and Safety

Total Compensation Rate:
$35.00 - $50.00/hour ST
$52.50 - $75.00/hour OT
Per Diem: $131.75/day when eligible to work
Mob/Demob: Actual and reasonable expenses, not to exceed $1,000.00 with receipts (demob provided upon successful completion of the assignment)
Position FLSA Status: Non-exempt
