Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Nuclear Project Manager - Fabrication opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Work Location: Boston, MA

Nuclear Project Manager - Fabrication-

The Nuclear Project Manager – Fabrication is responsible for the execution and delivery of critical materials and equipment, while providing guidance to the project team (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and other functions) and supplier(s), to ensure materials/equipment comply with technical and commercial contract requirements. They must develop an understanding of the supplier(s) and customer processes and procedures to effectively manage the scope of work.

Responsibilities:
• Report to Project Delivery Manager and Control Account Managers.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and stakeholders to support material/equipment delivery.
• Provide supplier performance updates (schedule and cost).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Manage delivery of materials, equipment, and technical/quality documentation.
• Maintain key supplier relationships.
• Evaluate technical, quality, cost, and schedule risks; develop mitigation plans.
• Develop and track KPIs.
• Support safety-class and safety-significant design development.
• Apply expertise in design and construction contracts.
• Perform cost estimating, control, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Review technical and commercial documents for contract compliance.
• Participate in project meetings, report progress and recommendations.
• Track and manage action items to resolve execution barriers.
• Provide technical recommendations to mitigate cost and schedule risks.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve deviations and scope changes.
• Provide daily progress updates and priority actions (as needed).
• Serve as primary supplier point of contact.
• Develop and monitor metrics to mitigate delivery risks.
• Identify supplier gaps and recommend improvements.
• Observe shop work to verify progress and performance.
• Monitor quality issues, close NCRs and CARs.
• Validate commercial payment milestones.
• Travel to supplier sites to support and monitor performance (up to 100%).
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management or Engineering discipline (e.g. Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) and ten (10) years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience OR fifteen (15) or more years of relevant education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements.

Skills/Experience:

• Advanced experience in engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, quality and scheduling.
• Two (2) years of Project or Program Management.
• Five (5) years of experience working in a DOE/NNSA NQA-1 environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Projects and/or Oracle P6 scheduling software.
• Advanced knowledge in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, codes and specifications.
• Two (2) years of experience with Government contracting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• APICS Certifications
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Professional registration as a professional engineer
• Current or previous certification in Earned Value Management systems (EVMS), including experience with successful implementation and maintenance of EVMS to help manage a project/program.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Compensation:

• Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $175,000 and $230,000 annually.
