GD Barri is looking for a Mid-Level Project Control Specialist #3095 for a 1-year contract position COC Chatt Corp Office Desired Local Candidates No Per Diem
Mid-level PCS position. No supervision or supervisory experience required. Certification is not required. No rotating shifts, no on-call, overtime not anticipated.
Basic education requirements: Associate degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Accounting, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Marketing or other related degree with three (3) years minimum of related work experience OR high school diploma/GED and five (5) years minimum of related work experience.
Responsibilities
Perform as a PCS with accountability and responsibility for project work breakdown structures which include project planning, status, variances, indicator/commitment tracking, and control changes for projects or programs. Assists in the annual and project life cycle planning process for trend analysis, cost/schedule forecasts, cash flows, budget adjustments and project prioritization. Supports preparation of summary & detail level reports. Trend analyses required to keep organization programs, project managers and department managers aware of the impacts of forecasted or actual changes to their budgets, spend plans, and schedules.
Responsible for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of project scheduling, project planning, project cost and project risk principles and practices to develop solutions to reduce or impact total project success. Assist in project portfolio day-to-day activities for project adherence and implementation.
Additional Duties:
Develop and maintain standardized project processes, project controls adherence in meeting projects planned objectives and performance indicators. Continue to receive appropriate continuing education. Enhance performance and develop technical skills and clear progression planning. Assist personnel in resolution of schedule, cost, project planning and joint project team integrity.
