Safety Advisor – Power Plant Facilities
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Advisor Outage with expertise in industrial hygiene to join our facility's power plant team.
This role requires a professional with 5+ years of safety experience, a Bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma, and OSHA certification. Under moderate supervision, the Safety Advisor will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, procedures, and processes to ensure the safety of personnel and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct trend analysis, audits, investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, materials, and employee behaviors.
• Analyze safety and compliance data in accordance with current regulations and provide recommendations to prevent accidents and incidents.
• Develop and deliver employee training, emergency preparedness programs, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment, modified processes, and non-routine work practices to enhance safety and compliance.
• Support continuous improvement in safety programs and industrial hygiene practices across the facility.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in safety and industrial hygiene within industrial or power plant environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and training capabilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices in industrial hygiene.
