Director of Quality Assurance will lead both the programmatic and operational dimensions of nuclear quality organization. This role is evaluated on two equally weighted dimensions:
The Big 3 Responsibilities
1. Nuclear Quality Program Leadership
Own and improve the nuclear quality
management system across all certifications,
audits, corrective actions, and documentation.
2. Operational Quality Execution
Direct day-to-day inspection, nonconformance
management, manufacturing integration, and
supplier quality to ensure product conformance
and on-time delivery.
3. Organization Building & Customer
Interface
Build and scale the quality team while serving
as the companys quality voice to customers,
regulators, and industry partners.
The following three areas represent the most critical responsibilities for this role. Together, they define the
scope of work that drives success for the Director of Quality Assurance
1. Nuclear Quality Program Leadership
Own and continuously improve nuclear quality management system to ensure
regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and world-class program execution across all certifications and
customer requirements.

2. Operational Quality Execution
Direct the day-to-day quality operations that support manufacturing, ensuring product conformance, first-time quality, and on-time delivery to customer specifications.

3. Organization Building & Customer Interface
Build, develop, and scale the quality organization while serving as the companys quality voice to
customers, regulators, and industry partners.

Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in manufacturing quality leadership roles
Significant experience working within nuclear quality assurance programs
Demonstrated knowledge of NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B requirements
Experience supporting ASME Section III nuclear component manufacturing
Experience managing quality teams in a manufacturing environment
Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and audit management
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage both executives and
shop floor teams
Previous experience scaling quality systems during periods of company growth
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting nuclear new-build projects such as AP1000 or similar reactor programs
Experience with fuel cycle or enrichment manufacturing programs
Experience supporting DOE or naval nuclear programs
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
