C.A. Murren is seeking an experienced Utility Foreman specializing in underground wet utilities (water, sewer, and storm drainage) in Aiken, SC.

This role is responsible for leading field crews, executing work safely and efficiently, and ensuring projects meet safety, quality, production, and scheduling goals. The Utility Foreman serves as the front-line supervisor and plays a critical role in planning daily operations, coordinating resources, and maintaining our strong safety culture.


Key Responsibilities

Lead and promote the Company's Safety Culture in all field operations
Supervise and direct pipe crews performing water, sewer, and storm drain installation
Read and interpret blueprints, utility profiles, and project specifications
Plan and coordinate daily work activities for assigned phase of work
Identify project risks and proactively communicate issues or opportunities
Ensure proper layout, grade checking, and elevation control using levels, lasers, and GPS
Stage materials, equipment, and manpower for efficient workflow
Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance
Submit accurate daily reports and complete crew timecard review
Communicate project status clearly and timely to Project Managers and Superintendents
Train and develop crew members and create opportunities for skill growth and advancement


Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Foreman in heavy civil underground wet utilities
Proven experience installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems
Strong knowledge of trench safety, OSHA standards, and utility installation best practices
Proficient in grade checking, layout, and blueprint reading
Ability to utilize a computer for daily reporting, emails, and time entry
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills


Requirements

Must have valid driver's license
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must participate in pre-employment and random drug screening program.
Subject to a background screening process
Ability to attend job site visits as needed.
