Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate's requested rate
Duration:TBD
Schedule: 40 Hours per week
PD: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each way ($1,000 total)

Job Responsibilities:
• Assess the required scope of work and explore alternative solutions for required mechanical modifications.
• Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
• Fulfill the role of system lead engineer for mechanical modifications.
• Ensure adequate mechanical systems integration and serve as the plant systems subject matter expert for assigned mechanical systems.
• Support changes to the Preventive Maintenance and Surveillance Program related to mechanical equipment.
• Identify Critical Spare Parts for mechanical systems.
• Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes related to mechanical systems.
• Prepare and/or support factory acceptance testing and plant startup testing for mechanical components and systems.
• Interface with the Project Manager to ensure Engineering deliverables meet overall project goals and schedule.
• Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification of mechanical systems.
• Comply with regulatory requirements including 10 CFR 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation, and any required supporting analyses.
• Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.
• Fulfill assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization.

Requirements
• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience performing related engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
• Note: This position requires strong mechanical systems implementation expertise, with demonstrated experience in mechanical commissioning activities.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering, including hands-on commissioning or startup support.
• Familiarity with ASME codes, piping and pressure vessel standards, and mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, HVAC, etc.) in a nuclear or regulated environment.
• Experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance requirements applicable to mechanical systems.
• Availability for shift work during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
• Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
