Operations Specialist - Radiological Facilities (Full-Time, Los Alamos, NM)
Responsibilities
Oversee construction and facility operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
Manage work in a Hazard Category 2 radiological facility in accordance with DOE and Laboratory requirements.
Coordinate project teams, staffing, budgets, and subcontractors.
Ensure consistent application of construction standards, documentation, and process improvements.
Serve as the primary liaison between facility operations and program stakeholders.
Support business operations, policies, and operational program development.
Lead compliance efforts, including training, access control, and quality assurance.
Conduct incident investigations, readiness reviews, and activity approval processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 15+ years in construction and 5+ years supporting DOE OR equivalent experience.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain government clearance.
Experience in nuclear/DOE construction environments, including safety and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant DOE/nuclear safety certifications.
Experience with NQA-1, work control, and quality assurance.
Qualifications as Electrical Field Work Supervisor or Responsible Line Manager.
