Sr. Operations Support Specialist - Los Alamos National Laboratory (Full-Time, Los Alamos, NM)
Responsibilities
Serve as primary liaison between facility operations and program stakeholders.
Support daily operations, policies, procedures, and compliance in a radiological facility.
Oversee construction and operational activities to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Coordinate project teams, staffing, budgets, and subcontractors.
Lead incident investigations, readiness reviews, and activity approval processes.
Develop and maintain operational documentation, training programs, and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience (or equivalent); 15+ years in construction and DOE experience preferred.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain government clearance.
Strong knowledge of facility operations, construction practices, and compliance in regulated environments.
Experience managing projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
DOE or nuclear facility experience (e.g., plutonium, D&D projects).
Familiarity with NQA-1, work control, and quality assurance standards.
Prior leadership roles (e.g., Field Work Supervisor, Electrical Field Work Supervisor, or Responsible Line Manager).
