Nuclear Safety Basis Analyst - Los Alamos National Laboratory (Full-Time, Los Alamos, NM)
Responsibilities
Performs nuclear and non-nuclear risk and hazard analyses to ensure safe operation of nuclear and/or non-nuclear facilities.
Conducts hazard identification for facilities and processes.
Performs hazard analyses to evaluate potential risks.
Determines facility hazard categorization.
Conducts accident analysis to assess potential outcomes and consequences.
Supports selection of controls to mitigate identified hazards.
Develops and maintains associated Safety Basis documents, including:
Un-Reviewed Safety Question (USQ) determinations
Documented Safety Analyses (DSAs)
Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs)
Safety Assessment Documents (SADs)
Facility Safety Plans
Facility Safety Analyses
Requirements
Education & Years of Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain government clearance.
