Job Title: Construction Oversight Engineer (Contract)

System One is seeking experienced Construction Oversight Engineers to support regulatory inspection activities for advanced nuclear construction projects, including Natrium reactor units. This role supports regulatory construction oversight and ensures compliance with NRC requirements and nuclear industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop procedures for regulatory oversight of nuclear construction activities
Perform technical inspection oversight for construction of advanced reactor units
Apply knowledge of NRC regulations, codes, and inspection processes
Identify issues of concern and communicate findings to management
Recommend regulatory paths and solutions to resolve issues
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support safe and compliant construction

Requirements:

Minimum 18 years of experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
Experience as a qualified NRC reactor inspector
Strong knowledge of nuclear regulations, codes, and standards
Ability to work independently and exercise sound technical judgment
Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline
Experience supporting advanced or first-of-a-kind reactor designs
