Welch, MN
Pay: $71.00 - $73.00 per hour
NOTE: We are open to candidates who want to relocate for a long term contract role to Minnesota. The position offers Per Diem + hourly rate for non local candidates
Job Summary
The Project Manager (Business Professional) is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from initiation through implementation within a nuclear plant environment. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting strict quality and regulatory standards. The position leads project planning, coordinates resources, and maintains clear communication with stakeholders. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential to successfully drive project outcomes in a highly regulated setting.

Job Responsibilities

Manage projects from definition, planning, and execution through completion within a nuclear plant environment
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones
Ensure alignment with scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives
Establish and maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders
Provide day-to-day direction and support to project team members
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
Lead change management processes throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates
Coordinate resource allocation to ensure project success
Apply industry standards, policies, and quality assurance practices
Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements and safety protocols

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Proven experience managing full project lifecycles in a professional environment
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
Experience working within a nuclear plant or similarly regulated environment preferred
Experience in construction project management and cost management preferred
Familiarity with nuclear industry processes, including modification processes, temporary modifications, and quality assurance standards, preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Work Experience

Experience managing construction or infrastructure projects preferred
Experience working in nuclear, utility, or other highly regulated industries preferred
