What this role offers:
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time, 12-month contract high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: Monday Friday
Salary Range: $84-$135/hr

Responsibilities:
Support the design and implementation of the Equipment Qualification Program from development through final qualification.
Coordinate with design personnel to ensure new designs and design changes meet EQ Program regulatory requirements.
Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with EQ Programs, applicable regulations, and quality assurance standards.
Prepare and review technical documents including test requirement documents and specifications.
Review correspondence to and from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; assist with preparation of topical reports and responses to requests for additional information.
Assist with Safety Analysis Report (SAR) revisions and preparation.
Prepare and review equipment qualification regulatory evaluations.
Interface with internal technical discipline teams as well as partners and contractors.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field from an accredited four-year university, or equivalent experience
15+ years of experience in development and implementation of equipment qualification programs
Demonstrated ability to contribute to EQ program development from blank sheet to final qualification
Working knowledge of ASME QME-1 and the ASME OM Code
Experience with IEEE-344 and related IEEE standards
Experience in mechanical design of commercial nuclear power plants
Experience or familiarity with NEI 18-04 and Regulatory Guide 1.233
Experience or familiarity with Regulatory Guides associated with Environmental Qualification
Direct experience with vendor test facilities
Experience in interactions with Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff
