Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an I&C Design Engineer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC
I&C Design Engineer-
The Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer is responsible for design changes affecting instrumentation, control systems, alarms, monitoring, and automated operation of facility systems.
Duties:
Prepare instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, control narratives, setpoint documentation, and interlock logic revisions.
Support modifications to field instrumentation, control panels, operator interfaces, alarms, cameras, and monitoring systems.
Coordinate process control requirements with process and mechanical engineering changes.
Evaluate maintainability, calibration, testing, and operability of modified control systems.
Support startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and design verification activities.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with instrumentation and industrial control systems.
Knowledge of process instrumentation and control documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with plant automation, alarm systems, and integrated monitoring.
Familiarity with industrial control strategies in operating facilities.
Other Job Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
