Are you ready to make a difference in the nuclear tech innovation and medical sector? We are seeking a Radioactive Material Transport Engineer to join an exciting project based out of Bellevue, United States. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation solutions for packaging and transporting radioactive materials.
Responsibilities:
- Develop TerraPowers nuclear material transportation program.
- Oversee design, licensing, testing & fabrication of shipping containers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on procurement strategies and risk management plans.
- Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 71/49 CFR regulations governing radioactive shipments.
- Lead safety procedures development for Class 7 hazardous material transport.
Key Qualifications:
To excel in this position:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
- Between two-to-ten years engineering experience required.
- Familiarity with key industry practices such as familiarity w/nuclear logistics providers helpful
