Licensing Document Control Specialist

Work Location: CA or UT (Hybrid - 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote)

Project Details: Supports Valar Atomics' licensing department in advancing their upcoming DoD/DoE, fuel facility, and commercial nuclear projects. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in one or more of these areas.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain document control systems for all licensing department documentation across DoD/DoE, fuel facility, and/or commercial nuclear programs as assigned.
• Process, track, and distribute licensing documents, regulatory submittals, and correspondence in accordance with document control procedures.
• Ensure licensing documents are properly reviewed, approved, revised, and archived per applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with licensing engineers, project managers, and QA staff on document review and approval workflows.
• Support preparation and formatting of regulatory submittals and licensing packages.
• Maintain document registers, revision logs, and regulatory correspondence tracking systems.
• Identify and resolve document control discrepancies or non-conformances.
• Provide document control training and guidance to licensing department staff as needed.
Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on document control experience in a regulated industry will be considered.
• Minimum 3-5 years of document control experience in a nuclear, DOE, or highly regulated industry environment.
• Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance requirements (e.g., DOE Order 414.1 or equivalent).
• Proficiency with document management systems and electronic records management tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 - 60 lbs.
