Position Summary:
The Graphic Artist is responsible for designing and developing high-quality multimedia and interactive training products for web-based environments. This role partners with NNL and Navy subject matter experts to support the creation of engaging, compliant, and technically accurate training solutions.
Pay Range: $100,000 to $120,000, DOE.
Note: This position requires a security clearance. The selected candidate is expected to begin the clearance process in June, with a planned onsite start date of October 1 in Pittsburgh, PA or Ballston Spa, NY. Additional details regarding onboarding and interim arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Essential Functions:
Develop multimedia products for web-based training environments.
Design vector and raster graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Create interactive media and animations using Adobe Animate.
Support development of SCORM-compliant training modules within a Learning Content Management System (LCMS)
Develop interactive training applications using object-oriented programming principles.
Create storyboards outlining sequencing, flow, and interactivity of training products.
Collaborate with NNL and Navy subject matter experts to support curriculum development and implementation.
Troubleshoot software and multimedia development issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards including SCORM, Tin Can (xAPI), and Section 508.
Competencies:
Strong multimedia design and development skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate)
Knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML)
Understanding of eLearning standards (SCORM, xAPI, accessibility)
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong attention to detail and creativity.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience developing multimedia and interactive training content.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS)
Experience with 3D modeling and animation preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
Physical Demands:

Work Conditions:
This position is on-site in Pittsburgh, PA or Ballston Spa, NY.
May require collaboration in secure or controlled environments due to clearance requirements.
Work is generally sedentary in nature, with occasional standing and walking required.
Lighting and temperature conditions are typically controlled and adequate.
The role may require work in technical, client, or operational environments, which may include exposure to varying noise levels, equipment, or facility conditions.
