Principal Business Analyst – Cost Controls / Principal Financial Analyst

COMPA Industries is seeking a **Principal Business Analyst – Cost Controls / Principal Financial Analyst** to provide senior-level financial analysis, project controls, government accounting compliance, and advisory support for SRNS/DOE/NNSA management. This position will support complex financial analysis, cost accounting, compliance activities, audit support, reporting, and business process improvement efforts in a government contractor environment.

## Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform as a senior advisor to SRNS/DOE/NNSA management for the execution, development, implementation, maintenance, and accountability of project controls, financial analysis, and cost control functions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Provide strategic advice to management regarding highly complex project controls, financial analysis, planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
* Support development and maintenance of project baseline plans, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, and spend plans.
* Lead, prepare, and present financial and project information to senior and executive management.
* Conduct complex analysis of financial, business, and technical issues, including identifying alternatives and recommending corrective actions.
* Act as a business and financial advisor to project management teams, peers, senior management, and external customers.
* Apply and analyze accounting principles, practices, and procedures as they relate to Federal Acquisition Regulations, Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Assist in preparation of SRNS’s Cost Accounting Standards Board Disclosure Statement.
* Support preparation and analysis of the Incurred Cost Submission.
* Plan, organize, and coordinate Government Compliance activities to meet established objectives and schedules.
* Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers, including DOE/NNSA, government auditors, SRNS management, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders.
* Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
* Participate in working groups, cross-functional projects, project planning, and user requirement definition.
* Support general accounting responsibilities as determined by the CFO organization.

## Required Qualifications

### Education and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

* Master’s degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or a related field and **15 years** of practical experience; or
* Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, technical, engineering, or a related field and **18 years** of practical experience; or
* Associate degree and **20 years** of practical experience; or
* High school diploma and **22 years** of relevant experience.

* Strong organization, self-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

## Work Schedule

This is a **part-time position** with up to a **40-hour work week** scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules, including:

* 5/8s: eight hours per day, five days per week
* 4/10s: ten hours per day, four days per week
* 9/80s: nine hours per day, five days one week and four days the next week

Work weeks exclude SRNS holidays. Each workday includes a 30-minute lunch. Overtime may be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be used at the discretion of the manager.

## Work Location / Telework

Telework may be available up to **two days per week** upon approval of CFO leadership.

## Security Clearance

Clearance is **not required**. This is an **uncleared** position.

## Travel

No travel is currently planned for this position. Travel may not occur unless approved by procurement through a fully funded requisition and added to the Task Order Authorization. Any travel request must include justification, travel locations, estimated cost, and dates of travel prior to procurement approval. SRNS will not reimburse travel for conferences or trainings.

One year with the option to extend for two additional one-year option periods. Option periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager.
