Job Title: Superintendent

About this Role
Client is seeking a Superintendent to provide field leadership and oversight for construction activities at facility. This is a 100% onsite role requiring respiratory capability and the ability to work in a secure nuclear environment. The position follows a 4/10 schedule with anticipated overtime (no on-call) and may require shift work (days, nights, weekends).
The Superintendent will lead field execution, supervise craft labor, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise construction field activities and craft personnel
Organize, direct, and control daily work activities, schedules, and resources
Provide oversight and mentorship to lower-level Superintendent personnel
Ensure compliance with safety practices, including lockout/tagout and hazard controls
Interpret and execute work based on blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Coordinate materials, equipment, and vendor activities
Support project planning and execution alongside project management
Investigate field issues, incidents, and abnormal events and support corrective actions
Maintain compliance with configuration management, work control, and facility systems
Apply knowledge of collective bargaining agreements across trades
Promote teamwork, communication, and a strong safety culture
Education
Relevant technical training, trade experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
Minimum 10 years of construction or maintenance experience, preferably in nuclear environments
Extensive field experience supervising construction activities
Strong understanding of construction practices, safety procedures, and facility operations
Experience interpreting technical documents, drawings, and schematics
Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements across trades
Security Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
Desired Qualifications
Active DOE Q Clearance
LANL or DOE facility experience
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Nuclear construction or maintenance experience
