Experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer needed to support nuclear plant modification and capital engineering change projects at a multi-unit facility in Southport, NC. Role includes developing and reviewing design change packages involving structural systems, seismic and foundation evaluations, equipment supports, and engineering calculations, while ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements (including 10CFR50.59). The engineer will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver design solutions, support field implementation, perform post-modification testing, and ensure turnover to operations. This position requires strong nuclear design modification experience, independent technical judgment, and the ability to serve as a Responsible or Lead Engineer on assigned projects.
