Senior Project Manager

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned projects from initiation through completion. This role leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and applies professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to control schedule, cost, and performance risk while delivering high-quality outcomes.

This position is generally assigned large, multi-faceted projects and serves as the single point of contact for the project, assuming a leadership role in safely managing all project activities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning and execution from initiation through completion
Direct and coordinate cross-functional Joint Project Teams (JPTs)
Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, and risk
Ensure delivery within defined constraints (time, budget, people, quality, materials)
Maintain ownership as the primary point of contact for the project
Lead with a strong focus on safe project delivery and compliance
Budget Responsibility
Must be capable of managing:
Single project budgets over $25M, or
A portfolio of projects totaling over $75M (aggregate of active assigned projects)
Required Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field
OR equivalent combination of education, training, and related work experience
Preferred:

Masters degree (preferred, not required)
Certifications / Licenses
Required (timing):

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within one (1) year of appointment/assuming the Senior PM position
(Exceptions/extensions may apply per SPP-34.018)
Preferred (not required):

Professional certification/licensure demonstrating desire to excel (examples include PE, CPA, CFP, etc.)
