Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned projects ensuring delivery to specification, within budget, and from initiation through completion.

This role leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and applies professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to manage schedule, cost, and performance risk, while maintaining a high level of quality. The Senior Project Manager is typically assigned large, multifaceted projects and serves as the single point of contact for the project assuming the leadership role in safely managing project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Lead overall project planning and execution from initiation through completion
Direct and coordinate cross-functional project teams (JPTs)
Manage and control project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk
Ensure successful delivery within defined constraints (time, budget, people, quality, materials)
Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned project
Demonstrate strong leadership with an emphasis on safe project delivery
Budget Responsibility
Ability to manage large project budgets over $25M, or
Manage a portfolio of projects totaling over $75M (aggregate of active assigned projects)

Education
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Management, or technical field OR equivalent education/training/related experience
Masters degree preferred (not required)

Certification / Licensure
PMI PMP certification required within one year of appointment/assumption of the Senior PM role
Additional professional licensure/certification preferred (not required) e.g., PE, CPA, CFP
